In January 2024, Spencer of SB Mowing discovered a stray cat laying motionless in a yard he was clearing. He quickly realized the poor cat was very sick and injured, he needed help urgently. After calling around Corpus Christi Texas, he finally reached our rescue. We were the first to offer assistance as the only local rescue specializing in critical rescue cases. Little did we know that Spencer and this rescue kitty, now known as the famous "Esbee Meowing" would go on to touch the hearts of millions, and forever change our rescue...

Edgar & Ivy's Cat Sanctuary started as a very small cat rescue in Corpus Christi, TX. Last year, Esbee's heartwarming story reached all over the world, and millions of people including many followers of SB Mowing came together to support our rescue. We grew rapidly, and today we are a large cat rescue organization with a full staff. We operate daily out of our adoption center and new facility named
"The SB Mowing Community Wellness Center" that Spencer's GoFundMe helped us to build.

Our mission didn't end with Esbee's recovery, it was merely the beginning of something much, much larger. With the extreme need for urgent cat rescue in our underserved area, we receive hundreds of calls weekly for critical cases. Esbee's is one of thousands we've saved through the years. With our rapid growth thanks to the help of SB Mowing, we can now help so many more cats in need, but with growth comes greater expense. We can only go as far as the donations go, and as a 501c3 non-profit, we depend on generous supporters like you to keep our doors open. Today Esbee is an ambassador for our rescue mission.
